Supermarkets options for the Kalithea Apartment
There are a number of supermarkets to choose from around the apartment - some are conveniently located whilst others, although a little further off, offer value for money. Also, every Tuesday there is a local market at Lykourgou Street - just a few blocks from the apartment where one can buy fresh produce and many other things.
This supermarket is conveniently located (one and a half blocks away) and offers everything you will need. Esit the main entrance of the building, turn left. At the first cross road, turn left again and you'll find Sklavenitis on your right hand side. There is also a chemist opposite to this supermarket.

Two blocks away Turn right out of the main entrance. Walk to the end of the road and turn right at the cafe called Ακρη. Walk two blocks down and you will find Galaxias supermarket on your right.

This Lidl is close to the Metro Station of kalithea. It offers good value for money. It's not as big as the next Lidl on the list but its closer and convenient if you have been travelling by metro. You will find it on the opposite side of the Metro from where you disembark to go to the apartment i.e. on that side of the platform that you disembark from when exiting the metro line from Central Athens (the station just before Kalithea in this direction is Tavros).

It's not as big as the next Lidl on the list but its closer and convenient if you have been travelling by metro. You will find it on the opposite side of the Metro from where you disembark to go to the apartment i.e. on that side of the platform that you disembark from when exiting the metro line from Central Athens (the station just before Kalithea in this direction is Tavros).
Lidl, as stated, offers value for money. This Lidl is big and offers everything but its far to walk - especially if you are carrying bags back to the apartment.

Turn left out of the main entrance of the building and go straight until you reach the main road (which is called both El. Venizelou or Thisseos to the locals). Cross over. Be careful, Athenian drivers tend not to respect zebra crossings!
