Open 11-4 Monday through Friday, closed on the weekend. They have amazing food with vegetarian/vegan/raw options, but limited eating space. The fish tacos are spicy but amazing, falafel sandwich, soups, fresh bread (olive swiss and pesto baguettes) and delicious deserts.

I love this place, its in Truckee but if you're in the area for breakfast/lunch it's definitely worth checking out. Everything they make is amazing, Indian bowls, samosas and an unusual take on gyros.

beaches
This is the closest dog friendly beach to the house. Its a hidden little beach, most locals walk their dogs there. Not the best beach to hang out at all day, but for avoiding the traffic and a quick little trip to the beach its ideal.

This is one of my favorite places on the lake. The east shore is beautiful. you have to park on the road and its about a 15min hike down to the beach but its well worth it.
