Night Market

Patpong Night Market is an entertainment district in Bangkok's Bang Rak neighbourhood, Thailand, catering mainly, though not exclusively, to foreign tourists and expatriates. Patpong has long since been usurped as the 'king of the scene' by Soi Cowboy, its counterpart around Sukhumvit. Even so, its reputation means it's still a huge attraction, mainly for sightseers more interested in seeing the famous spot for themselves. Alongside the adult entertainment is a sort of night market as the whole area teems with hawkers and humble stalls selling items mostly targeted at tourists.

Bangkok Sightseeing

The dazzling, spectacular Grand Palace is undoubtedly the most famous landmark in Bangkok. It’s one must-see sight that no visit to the city would be complete without. It was built in 1782 and for 150 years the home of the Thai King, the Royal court and the administrative seat of government. The Grand Palace of Bangkok is a grand old dame indeed, that continues to have visitors in awe with its beautiful architecture and intricate detail, all of which is a proud salute to the creativity and craftsmanship of the Thai people. Within its walls were also the Thai war ministry, state departments, and even the mint. Today, the complex remains the spiritual heart of the Thai Kingdom.

Safari World near Bangkok is a zoo for those who don't like zoos… Of course, like any animal park, it has some good and some not so good sides, but the animals here certainly do have a huge amount of space where they can roam free. Opened since 1988, Safari World is divided into 2 distinct areas. The open space of Safari Park is where you can drive through in your car or in the park bus. The open zoo is about 480 acres and the bird park 180 acres. Marine Park is more of a traditional zoo mixed with many shows, lots of food stalls and plenty of souvenir shops.

Wat Pho is a Buddhist temple complex in the Phra Nakhon District, Bangkok. It is located on Rattanakosin Island, directly south of the Grand Palace, known also as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha. The compound incorporates a host of superlatives: the city's largest reclining Buddha, the largest collection of Buddha images in Thailand and the country's earliest centre for public education. Almost too big for its shelter is Wat Pho's highlight, the genuinely impressive Reclining Buddha, housed in a pavilion in the western edge of the temple complex.

SkyWalk at King Power Mahanakhon offers an unparalleled 360-degree view of Bangkok's cityscape, this two-tiered viewpoint is perched atop King Power Mahanakhon, currently Thailand’s tallest building. Stepping onto the dizzying SkyWalk – a glass-floored balcony dangling 78 floors above the earth at 310m – is a spine-chilling experience, but you can soothe your nerves afterward with a stiff sundowner at the open-air bar one flight up on the skyscraper's pinnacle at 314m. An indoor 74th-floor observatory offers a less adrenalized experience and comes 200B cheaper.
