Sightseeing
Walks and Waterfalls- there are 6 different bush walks all graded easy to moderate. The mountain is Queensland's oldest National Park (1908) where 85% of all animal species and 65% of all plant species found in the Gold Coast region are protected. Amongst these are the Albert's lyrebird and the Richmond birdwing butterfly. Follow your track through giant strangler figs, serenaded by the rainforest birds to discover waterfalls, frogs and rare glow worms.
Tamborine Mountain
These gardens which are only a 5 minute walk from your accommodation combine a colourful and diverse range of exotic and native flora. In the middle of the gardens is the lake. A great place for a picnic. Past the lake, follow the many paths to discover gardens such as the Japanese garden and the sooty owl track. Throughout this special place ,volunteers who maintain the park, have "planted" many contemplation benches where you can stay awhile to take in where they say, "Tropical meets Temperate."

You can immerse yourself in nature or if your like me conquer your fear of heights by getting way out of your comfort zone. Bookings are advised. Sounds bit too much? I can also recommend the nearby Skywalk. You can walk at your own pace and take in the rainforest from high up in the canopy. The protected Richmond Birdwing butterfly can often been seen here.

Inside Thunderbird park is the award winning Tree Top Challenge which includes Australia's largest high ropes attraction. You can immerse yourself in nature or if your like me conquer your fear of heights by getting way out of your comfort zone. Bookings are advised. Sounds bit too much? Take a leisurely walk down the street. Here you will find lolly, chocolate and fudge shops, eateries, wineries, distilleries and art galleries. There's something for everyone. For the tea lover I would recommend the Tamborine Tea shop and if you are a chocoholic don't miss Katy's Chocolates on Gallery at the top end of the street!

Long RoadTake a leisurely walk down the street. Here you will find lolly, chocolate and fudge shops, eateries, wineries, distilleries and art galleries. There's something for everyone. For the tea lover I would recommend the Tamborine Tea shop and if you are a chocoholic don't miss Katy's Chocolates on Gallery at the top end of the street!

This historic hotel offers great food for lunch and dinner. Famous for it's old world charm and amazing views from the terrace and gardens. Say hi to "Molly" and "Syrah" the two Saint Bernards as you pass them on entering the hotel.

Relax with view over the lake from the veranda. You can also take a Glow worm tour through the estates glow worm cave. This cave was purpose built to be part of a ground breaking conservation program. It's truly eye opening and educational.
