This is a local Mexican restaurant owned by Esteban's parents! Their food is some of the best Mexican in town and has been in business within Arcata for over 25 years. Try their Fiesta Caddy Margarita, Camarones Diabla, Flautas, or really anything from the menu at all, you're sure to be satisfied. If you're in town on a Friday, their special is Carnitas! Really amazing carnitas at that. Enjoy!

Amazing vegan restaurant. They have such a great selection for vegan cuisine at this place. The service is great, albeit a little slow, so don't stop here if you're in a rush! Awesome ambiance and again, the food is tops. They serve a wonderful vegan cheese sauce made from nutritional yeast, fresh pressed juices, vegan french toast, tempeh sandos, etc. If you're looking for something healthy and yummy, this is a great spot.

This is the hot-spot for Arcata nightlife. It is small but mighty! Excellent assortment of bars, restaurants, and boutique shops. On Saturdays you can find the Arcata farmers market as well.

If you want to stand on top of the world, we recommend this short hike. Just at the top of Trinidad State Beach, you'll find a 30 minute hike of varying steepness, many scenic resting areas, and beautiful views along the way. Once you reach the highest peak you can sit on top the cliff-side and watch the waves come in. Would not recommend this hike for foggy/rainy/high-wind days.

Trinidad Head TrailIf you want to stand on top of the world, we recommend this short hike. Just at the top of Trinidad State Beach, you'll find a 30 minute hike of varying steepness, many scenic resting areas, and beautiful views along the way. Once you reach the highest peak you can sit on top the cliff-side and watch the waves come in. Would not recommend this hike for foggy/rainy/high-wind days.
This a local favorite! This hike will take you about 2 hours round-trip and it's quite steep, definitely not for beginners. Once you get to the top you'll enjoy a view of the Redwoods from above.

This is a nice n' easy trip to see the Redwoods if you don't have time to hike a trail. Located just nearby the property, you'll be there in a flash. Enjoy the fresh air and ancient trees and still be home in time for dinner.
