Consejos para la ciudad

Facilidad para moverse por la casa

Taxis are not the best and cheapest way to move around BA

Most Porteños do not have cars. They move around using taxis. Uber is not so common in this city. Subways and buses are also good and cheap ways to travel from neighborhood to neighborhood. To use them you need to buy a refillable “sube” card. You get them at subway & train stations, kiosks and malls. Sube cards are inexpensive. They let you use all public transport in the city. With them you can also pay tolls in some freeways. Close to our loft we have a train station called “Lisandro de la Torre” which is one stop away from the Retiro terminal. Retiro terminal is just 10 minutes away

Advice for tourists

For a tourist visiting Buenos Aires, I would advise: Explore Different Neighborhoods: Buenos Aires is diverse, with each neighborhood offering a unique atmosphere. Explore areas like Palermo for trendy vibes, San Telmo for history, and Recoleta for a touch of elegance. Enjoy the Culinary Scene: Indulge in Argentine cuisine, especially trying the famous asado (barbecue) and empanadas. Don't forget to pair it with a glass of Malbec.

Things to do

Visit Recoleta Cemetery: Explore Recoleta Cemetery, known for its intricate mausoleums, including the tomb of many important historical figures. It's a unique architectural and historical site. Learn Basic Spanish Phrases: While many locals speak English, knowing a few basic Spanish phrases can enhance your experience and interactions. Argentines speak a very italian version of Spanish. Be Mindful of Safety: Like any major city, be aware of your surroundings and take precautions. Avoid displaying expensive items and be cautious with your belongings.
