This is a great place to get a breakfast taco on the way to Austin! The tacos are amazing as well. Seating is outside and just off HWY 290. Highly recommended for a food truck style experience.

This is my favorite place to get a chicken fried steak. Friendly service. Great for a long sit down meal of Texas favorites. This place is often packed.

The best Southern Cooking with amazing hospitality! The chicken is fried while wait so you have to be patient but it is well worth it. Everything is top quality! After a delicious meal you can stroll down main street and enjoy the local shoppes.
Eva Maes has limited weekend hours so check to make sure they are open.

Great Pizza and pasta! We love this place! Only 5 minutes East on 290! You can call and order for pickup or dine in. They have an impressive local beer selection. The basil pepperoni pizza is my favorite!

Bastrop State park is a great place for a hike and a good reason to head to the beautiful city of Bastrop. A large portion of the park burned in 2011. It is great to hike through the young trees and enjoy some great views and historical park buildings.
Make sure to have sturdy shoes and water! You might want to grab lunch at Neighbors after your hike. The view of the Colorado river is fantastic. The food is great too!

Ever wonder what happens to all the items they take when people go through airport security. This store is fun if you are have some time and are our by the airport. The are bins full of swiss army knife for $1 and all kinds of unique items. They also resale all the old furniture from state office buildings. You can even pick up an old police car while you are there!

Mosasaurs, Pliesiosaurs, Pterasaurs and lots of gems! The Texas Museum is located on the Univeristy of Texas campus and the admission is free! The fossil collection is amazing and there is also a great display of the local species. Don't forget to stop by the giftshop!
You can park in the San Jacinto Parking Garage which is next to the museum. While are there you can enjoy walking through campus and down Guadalupe
Street.

2400 Trinity StMosasaurs, Pliesiosaurs, Pterasaurs and lots of gems! The Texas Museum is located on the Univeristy of Texas campus and the admission is free! The fossil collection is amazing and there is also a great display of the local species. Don't forget to stop by the giftshop!

Pick up your new cowboy hat and boots on your way to the airport! Maybe some of our Coyote Creek Organic Chicken feed while you are there too! In addition to the usual feed store items, Callahan's has a great western wear collection. They also have a great kitchen collection. From canning and cheese making to cute cow art! They have really cool farm decor!
