Getting Downtown

#8 MUNI Bus (Downtown in 20 mins by freeway): Travel East on Woolsey St., North on San Bruno Ave. and wait at the stop on the East side of San Bruno, at Wayland St. You may also take the #8 AX (Express). #9 MUNI Bus (Downtown in 30 mins by city streets): Travel East on Woolsey St., South on San Bruno Ave. and wait at the stop on the East side of San Bruno, at Dwight St. You may also take the #9 R (Rapid) which will skip half the stops, but still lead downtown. For MUNI, you can pay: In cash (or via Clipper card) to cover the fare of $3.00 (exact change required).

Remember that SF is notorious for its microclimates. It can be 90 degrees in the Mission, and 62 degrees in the Richmond. The Portola stays relatively warm for SF, but if you're venturing to other areas bring an extra layer.
