Bondi is pretty cool. Get the 333 bus here from oxford st. It comes very regularly.

Public transport
Buses from oxford or flinders street will get you just about anywhere. Use google maps for times and stops. Otherwise walk down to museum station at Hyde park to get on city circle trains. Central is also about a 15 min walk. New Surry hills light rail station is a 10min walk and on Devonshire street.
