Fantastic day out, so many animals to see. Gorillas, anteaters, and the largest herd of African elephants are just some of the highlights.

Beautiful castle and grounds. The boat and land train are great for getting around. Fantastic events throughout the year, especially the classical concerts and fireworks display.

Rich in wildlife and offering views of the famous White Cliffs this local nature reserve is definitely worth a visit for the scenery and walks (some challenging!) . 3 martello towers, pitch & putt golf course.
The area is a great site for rockpooling when the tide is out – and is also one of the best sites in southern England to go fossil hunting.
Folkestone East Cliff and Warren Country Park
30 Wear Bay RdRich in wildlife and offering views of the famous White Cliffs this local nature reserve is definitely worth a visit for the scenery and walks (some challenging!) . 3 martello towers, pitch & putt golf course.
The area is a great site for rockpooling when the tide is out – and is also one of the best sites in southern England to go fossil hunting.
A quirky place to visit, the ossuary (crypt) has the largest and best-preserved collection of ancient human skulls and bones in Britain. The collection consists of shelves in four arched bays that contain 1,000 skulls in total!

Recently restored, with many great street food stalls, The Big Greek Bus a favourite of ours! Perfect for a stroll out to see, fantastic views. Live music most weekends from spring to autumn. Lighthouse champagne bar is definitely worth a visit. Also an outdoor cinema screen is set up in the spring and summer months, showing sports events and classic films, check the website for screening details.

Our favourite place for fantastic homecooked food. Great variety, well priced and always delicious. Highly recommend the lasagne, or the Sunday Roast but be sure to book as it is very popular locally. Food served until 9pm every day.
