Food Scene
The entire Florida Keys is full of amazing restaurants! We do not have many chain restaurants here, focusing most on local cuisine. We are known for our Key Lime Pie, the Key Lime Martini and fresh, local seafood starting with our fish - snappers, mahi, and grouper, shrimp, and when in season - lobster & stone crab.
An amazing, local’s place for breakfast. Friendly staff, homemade food - they use real eggs, not from a box, and good coffee. You can come by boat or car! Motorcyclists welcome.

Amazing food! My favorite is the fish filet stuffed with crab. My husband swears their Key Lime pie is hands down the best in the entire Keys (he only eats it here). It’s topped with a merengue topping instead of whipped cream.

Must visit park to snorkel over Christ of the Abyss and visit their Aquarium.

Site of the Full Moon Parties, they have good food on a nice Sandy beach. Bloodline (Netflix) was filmed next door and another property belonging to the group.

Actually "Mosquito Bank" is assessible only by boat and is my personal favorite. I recommend visiting when the wind is less that 7mph and get there early to get a good spot for low tide. If you anchor at just the right spot, you will be able to walk on a soft, sandy bottom, but will have plenty of company (if on the weekends).

Actually "Mosquito Bank" is assessible only by boat and is my personal favorite. I recommend visiting when the wind is less that 7mph and get there early to get a good spot for low tide. If you anchor at just the right spot, you will be able to walk on a soft, sandy bottom, but will have plenty of company (if on the weekends).
If you love turtles, you'll love the Turtle Hospital. Located in the Middle Keys, they have been rehabbing turtles for years and are a great place to visit and support.

Neighborhoods
The major "Keys" within the 112 mile island chain. The chain starts at the RV property located at mile marker 112 and heads South to Key West at mile marker 0.
First Key of the island chain. You won’t see a lot of ocean views here are there are not a lot of bridges. You need to either go out on a boat or visit a restaurant that is on the water. The restaurants are great and has a bigger island feel.

Second key after Key Largo. Now you are getting more “islandy”. Tavernier is small but has the only hospital in the Upper Keys, a Winn-Dixie, small movie theater, McDonald’s and CVS. It’s important to know because the Keys don’t have a lot of shopping or pharmacies around every corner.

BIG WARNING: Wal-Mart is a good place to stop if you need anything besides food because there is NO big store apart from this one in the entire 112 miles of the Florida Keys. You will pay a premium for anything other than food once in the Keys.
Winn-Dixie is the nearest full grocery store to the South and has a liquor store as well.

This is pretty much the only option you have for clothing in the Florida Keys. For bathing suits other then what they have, you can try Diver's Direct or West Marine and they are expensive.
