There are such lovely (free) walks on the Chatsworth estate why not go along the River Derwent to a lovely garden centre selling ll kinds of homewares that also has a coffee shop.
There are seperate admission prices for house and/or garden viewings plus a mini farm and adventure playground (prices are usually better online than at the gate)
