closest beach to the house. has a great dog beach as well as miles of hiking trails. huge beach that even on busiest days you can still find some space to sit, parking can get difficult though especially mid day.

tallest peak in the area, and actually a easier hike than Tallac with less crowds. gives you a great view of the whole area and other than the last 1 mile is very chill and relaxing hike. definitely our favorite peak in the area.

Go early or late not 10-2 pm
parking and getting around can be difficult from as early as 9am to 3pm at many popular spots during holidays or peak seasons. try to get to them early or later in the day to avoid the crowds. most people don't realize that many locations will be much easier crowded and easier to get to after 3pm.

Drink water, rest more
you are in high elevation with very dry air, you will need to drink more water and take it easier than down at lower elevation. Highly recommend drinking much more water than normal and if needed using elevation sickness pills to fight the thin air up here. even high level athletes can have a hard time up here when theay are not used to the elevation.
