Food Scene

This is one of the oldest restaurants in Bucharest. It mainly serves Romanian traditional food and sometimes they have some shows there. It's HUGE, it can fit about 300-400 people easily(the first room you enter is not the entire restaurant, they have a big part of the restaurant downstairs). I usually go there with my family if we want to have a dinner in the center. Expect to pay around 40-50 RON a person for dinner. Food portions are big and yummmy.

There is a subway restaurant VERY close to you. This place is great if you are hungry in the middle of the night because it's open 24/7 and it's less then 1 minute walking from your place. Expect to pay for a big sandwich almost how much you would pay for a real meal in a less fancy restaurant. Around 15-20 RON.

This is a nice designed bar/restaurant. It's one of the newer and most popular places to go in the weekend after 7-8PM. I usually go here for a beer/drink with friends. Expect to pay around 6RON-20RON for a drink, and about 40-50 RON for a meal.

Parks & Nature

This is a nice park in the city center. There is one old restaurant in the center of the park. It's a restaurant from the communist days and it keeps the same look and feel from the time of Ceausescu (Romania Communist leader)

This is a huge park in Bucharest. It can take a few hours(3-4) to go through the entire park. In the summer you can also rent(pretty cheap) boats and ride on the lake in the park. At night, there is a strip where there are a lot of restaurants and bars on the edge of the lake, it's a nice place where we Romanians go for a walk in the weekend, and maybe go to a fancy restaurant for a special occasion(expect to pay about 60-70% more then in the city center for fancy dinner there then in the city center). There are a few other cultural attractions close to the park, like "muzeul satului".
