Food Scene
Great Steaks - served with stuffed potatoes and salad. Meals are ~$35. Walk down Park Road, over the bridge, and down the stairway to Ipswich Road. Turn right onto Ipswich Road, and walk under the motorway crossing; Norman Hotel is on your right. The bar is at the front. The restaurant is entered from the rear off Qualtrough Street.
To drive, go up Fleurs Street, turn right onto Hawthorne St, and Right onto Ipswich Road at the lights. Drive 3 blocks, and Norman Hotel is on your left, after Beaurepaires tyre shop and the Broadway shops. Parking is available just off Qualtrough Street on your right.

I suggest using the Woolloongabba Busway station, as the bus depot lets you off directly under the Queen Street shopping Mall. To reach the Busway, walk up Fleurs Street, Right onto Hawthorne Street, 1st left down Hubert Street, and then there is a pedestrian crossing to walk across Stanley Street. Walk down Park Road, over the bridge and down the stairway on your right. Turn left to walk along Ipswich Road, past Officeworks, and cross over O'Keefe Street. Walk 2 blocks to Princess Alexandra Hospital. Shopping centre is on your left.

Catch the train from Park Road on Platform 2 or 3 to the next stop (SouthBank train station). Trains come every 15 minutes or more. Walk along Ernest Street towards the river, and turn left onto Grey Street. The theatre is on your left.

Options for Riding paths include over the river along the William Street Bridge to the CBD, and then turn Left along the north side of the river edge to Toowong and on to the University of Queensland. Or along the south side of the river along SouthBank to the Kangaroo Point cliffs.
Bikes can be taken onto trains when it is out of peak hour :)

This Hotel is modern and attractive. Some Parking is available in Reid Street. Reid Street is one-way and accessed off Stanley Street. Or you can walk - it will take ~5 minutes. Walk up Fleurs Street, right into Hawthorne street, and 1st left is Reid Street. Chalk Hotel is at the bottom of Reid Street, on the corner with Stanley Street.

735 Stanley StThis Hotel is modern and attractive. Some Parking is available in Reid Street. Reid Street is one-way and accessed off Stanley Street. Or you can walk - it will take ~5 minutes. Walk up Fleurs Street, right into Hawthorne street, and 1st left is Reid Street. Chalk Hotel is at the bottom of Reid Street, on the corner with Stanley Street.
