The blue Nile has to separate venues.. downstairs usually has a cover charge with live music. Upstairs had live music and a DJ and doesn't always have a cover charge.

I haven't personally been on the double decker bus, but I've heard that it's great for new comers. You get a tour of the most popular attractions of New Orleans and you're able to get off and explore neighborhoods at you leisure. the 3 day pass is the most bang for you buck.
