At the mo there is an exhibition of automata. You do have to Covidly ring and book a time.

A bit of a walk, but there are lakes with ducks, cormorants and elusive kingfishers, always a Cruftian plethora of assorted dogs in the wild bit, more varieties of tree than Kew has, a formal bit with roses, bandstand and tea room, a fine greenhouse that has been rescued from desuetude by Linda Pearson, and occasional music, plant stalls or events.

There is a sprinkling of other bars and snackeries along the front, but this is best.
