Nice old harbor with small and ancient ships - good for a walk around. I would recommend to go from there to the beach club called "Strandperle" (nice when the weather is good). You reach Övelgönne best by Bus (112) from central train station.

Perfect for a long walk around the "Treppenviertel". Amazing architecture and lots of small alleys with stairs, does not feel like being in Hamburg though. I would recommend to explore the Treppenviertel, walk along the Elbe direction Hamburg city and take the public ferry from Teufelsbrück to Landungsbrücken. Takes around 4-6 hours I guess.
