The best butcher we've ever been to. Fresh wild fish, grass-fed beef, and locally sourced cage-free chicken. Pro tip: their baked goods are PHENOMENAL. Bread, pastries, etc. Not cheap, but delicious.

This is a tiny grocery store but TONS of good options. Lots of vegan/vegetarian food. Think of it like a tiny whole foods that is twice as expensive. Although not cheap, they have fresh produce, delicious fresh smoothies, and almost any food item you want. Albertson's across the street has more traditional value groceries.

It’s about a 2.5mi walk uphill to the observatory, and 686 ft of elevation, or google “DASH observatory” for the 50 cent shuttle. If you drive, do not try and park at the top of the observatory. As soon as you enter the park, look for a parking spot and walk up if you’re able.

Family friendly small but surprisingly cool train museum, occasionally with a functioning train kids can go on. Only a 15min drive.

Do not sit in the first two rows because comedians always mess with those people, unless that sounds fun! Amazing local talent.

Absolutely gorgeous old creek and covered trail you can take all the way up to Griffith Observatory, past Trails Cafe, although it's quite steep. If you stick to just the lower part around the creek it's an easy hike and beautiful.
