Enjoy a chocolate chip brioche or yeasted barley waffle for breakfast or a Vegetarian Farro Pasta Dinner for two. Good for vegetarians too. They also have a market so you can stock the fridge with delights.

Best Taco's in town! If you like Margaritas, you will be pleased with theirs. They do a great job of sourcing locally. Outdoor seating. The only downfall is that everyone knows it's good so they usually have a line.

This is one of our favorite breakfasts. Egg scrambles and brioche French toast. In our opinion, the best hot chocolate in town. You won't be disappointed.

Portland has one of the biggest city parks in the country; Forest Park! Here you will find amazing hiking that take you through our beautiful forests. Lower Macleay is an medium hike about a mile down following the stream. Perfect into into Forest Park's trails and good for a quick workout.

Most area's of interest around the Fern Cottage have free street parking (Mississippi, Alberta, Kenton). If you go downtown they have meters or garages. Try for a meter if you can find a spot.
