Located just off State Street in historic downtown Bristol, Virginia, Blackbird Bakery opened its doors in the summer of 2008. Since then, it has become a favorite bakery shop for the locals in Bristol and the Tri-Cities area.
When you visit the bakery, you will feel as though you stepped back to a time when neighbors and shop owners knew each other on a first name basis. Although the specialty of the house is doughnuts, you will also find delicious pastries and desserts ranging from mouth-watering baklava and brownies, to cheesecakes, cupcakes, and pies.
We believe in our community and we want our customers to leave with more than just a treat, we hope they have that little extra spring in their step as they walk out our door. You'll always get old fashioned customer service with a smile to go with your order.
Although our goal is to have all items on our menu available for you when you visit the bakery, we are unable to guarantee the availability of all items at all times. If you are looking for a specific item, please order ahead, and we can hold the item for you. We appreciate your patronage.

Bristol is known for Country music and Nascar. It also has a unique, quaint downtown. Filled with old historic building, restaurants, venues, and shops, its a great place to kill a few hours strolling around. State street separates VA and TN and the state line runs down the middle.

Paved, well lighted walkways wind through the vaulted chambers and along the banks of the ancient Underground River that carved these remarkable caverns from the hard core of the earth 200 to 400 million years ago. In the frontier days, Indians used the Underground River as an attack and escape route in their raids on settlers. Stealing into the area by way of the Underground River and the caverns, they swooped down on unsuspecting families, then disappeared as if swallowed up by the earth.

Shawn landed in Bristol, TN, his wife’s hometown, during the beginning of the pandemic and decided that as things begin to open back up people could use a laugh.
After scouting the Tri-Cities for a location, Shawn is excited to have found a home for his club in downtown Bristol.
