While you're here, hopefully you can get out to enjoy some nature in our wonderful California weather!
We love the half-mile walking loop that encircles the park. Since the park is slightly elevated, there's often a gentle wind that makes the walk easy and breezy.

Bonelli Park is a 2000-acre, beautiful regional park which includes miles of hiking trails, Puddingstone Lake, playgrounds, a swim beach, and native wildlife...and it's only a 2 minute drive from our home!
During peak times of the season, there is a $12 entry fee but at 5:00pm it's always free. Since we live so close, we often enjoy a brief hike and the sunset from 5:00-7:00.

If you're visiting California, you've got to see the beach! Huntington is the nearest beach where you can swim, watch the surfers, even see an occasional dolphin, or just soak in some sun.

Southern California has some of the best authentic Mexican food you'll find and Don Chon is one of our favorites. Their Supreme Molcajete is the best!
The storefront looks like a hole-in-the-wall but inside it's got a terrific atmosphere with great service and excellent food. One thing to note - if you go during a peak times (Sunday brunch or weekend dinner) there may be a long wait. The secret is out about this place so the locals love to eat here.

This is an indoor food-court kind thing with a posh, industrial vibe. It's a bit spendy but they have a lot of gourmet choices and a great deal of variety - from beer to crepes.

If you like burgers with fried mustard, pickles, and lots of sauce, order yours "animal style". It's a secret item not listed on the menu. It's a delicious mess not to be missed.
