This is a great place for a rainy day. Entrance is free and they always seem to have some great displays on. It is located right on Margate sea front so if the sun comes out explore the sea front and the Old Town (head down King Street off Barnacles Pub).
Margate is quite hip at the moment and there's always something going on.

City/town information
This is the closest village to Sarre and it's a nice walk. Head to the spot roundabout and you'll see the footpath over the road.
The village is great for food and drink. The Bell is the best of the 2 pubs (great food, beer & atmosphere), the other being The Sun.
There is a brewery in the village located in St Nicholas Court Farm. It has a tap room if you want some great beer. Wansum Brewery are on Facebook so check them out for opening times. They also do takeaways.
The church is also worth a look!
Saint Nicholas At Wade
This is the closest village to Sarre and it's a nice walk. Head to the spot roundabout and you'll see the footpath over the road.

I would recommend a boat tour on the river as a great way of seeing the city and learning something as well!
Get the 9 or 8 bus from any of the bus stops in the village if you don't want to drive. The service is really regular, I use them a lot on a night out. It takes about 25 mins outside rush hour.
