Open music and art lovers paradise making use of an abandoned industrial and port with many stalls and restaurants. This is similar to the KW2 but more established, larger and have more things to look at outdoors than indoors - so come when it is cool to walk outside. Take a quick jog around the perimeters of the park or take a leisurely stroll in the beautifully maintained 30 hectare park which features a wetland ecological park and sculpture park. Maybe watch Aunties practicing tai chi in the early morning or just before the sunset :) Be sure to also visit the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts and Children’s Art Museum located within the confines of the park. There is also an open-air music plaza which regularly holds functions. Check the board for timings.

Stop at Formosa Boulevard MRT station (捷運美麗島站, RED line) to check out the famous and colorful "Dome of Light", a 4,500 glass panel art work covering the ceiling of the station, designed by Italian artist Narcissus Quagliata.
