Kaiate falls is a short drive from the property - A must see if you love waterfalls. The walk is short but steep in places and you can take your dogs there, provided they are on a leash and under your control.

Monte Maunganui
This is a must do if you haven't done it before! Even if you have, it's a walk we never tire of. The views never get old. We would recommend going in the mornings or evenings as it can get very hot going up in the heat of the day. If you aren't up for a hike, you can always walk around which is also beautiful. Plenty of spots for a picnic too!
Another local fave! On a cool evening, there is nothing better than soaking in one of the famous Mount hot pools and looking up at Mauao.

At low tide its shallow and great for the kids, and at high tide there is nothing better than a dip in the crystal clear water. Also a great place to watch the sun set!
