For more exercise and panoramic views continue up to Kennedy Park which was an important Maori Pa site and an observation post during WWII

Beautiful walk uphill from northern end of Castor Bay. Stunning views, historic pa site, WW11 observation point and children's playground. As of Feb 2023 unfortunately the steps down to beach are closed due to cyclone damage.
