This is our favourite restaurant in Villefranche. The food and service are fantastic and reasonably priced. This is a wholesome and very friendly restaurant. Run by Sylvie and her family we always go here the first and last night of any holiday and often in between. It is in the old Town and on one of the lovely little side streets. It is not a fancy restaurant on the front, it is down to earth with lovely people.

This is a really nice restaurant in the heart of the Old Town. The food is fantastic and it is mid priced. The tables are situated in an old square which gives this location a great feel. The service is always impeccable. Look out for the lunchtime offers as the food quality is the same as the evening but often half the price.

It is mid priced. Make sure you have the triple chocolate mousse for dessert, only one needed for 4 people! All the food we have had here is really good.

If you haven't booked make sure you are there at opening time or you won't get a table. It is mid priced. Make sure you have the triple chocolate mousse for dessert, only one needed for 4 people! This is a great ice cream parlour in the square next to Nice Cathedral. It is very touristy but the ice cream is lovely. There is quite a lot of seating in the square but sometimes hard to find a place in peak season.

Trains are a great way to get up and down the coast.
There is a railway station in Villefranche just behind the beach and a quick walk from our apartment. The train is really handy to get to Monaco and Cannes. The train also goes to Nice but the Nice station is set far back from the front (Promenade des Anglais) so if you want this part it is better to get a bus (15)

Buses - good if you want to get to the Nice front.
Whereas the trains are good for Monaco & Cannes they are not handy for getting to the front in Nice (Promenade des Anglais) or the the Vielle Ville (old quarter). Take the 15 or 607 bus from the middle of Villefranche which will take you to the port area. It is a nice stroll from the port to the Promenade des Anglais or the Vielle Ville.
