Pensthorpe is a 10 minute drive away and a lovely place to visit for a few hours or day out.
One of our favourite places to go to see the changing seasons in all their beauty.

A ‘must do’ and if you’re visiting at the right time of year you will see baby seals and enjoy a lovely chilly Norfolk boat trip too ! Great trip for photographers and anyone who likes to get deep into nature and their surroundings.
Lots of other options - this is not the only seal trip in Norfolk.
Note - you will spot seals if you look carefully anytime you are by the sea - they are very inquisitive so if you sit quietly they will appear.

Wellesley Cottage is situated in a rural and peaceful village - we overlook beautiful countryside, a tumbling stream and parkland to the rear. Everyone who arrives immediately mentions the setting, amazing position and the backdrop our property enjoys !

Sightseeing
What’s not to love ?
It’s about an hour from our door - The Broads have lots of areas to choose from and lots of boat yards where you can take out a picnic boat for the day.
The world slows down when you’re on the river and you may spot the most wonderful wildlife too!
It’s great fun but it will almost certainly be nippy on the water (so grab extra layers) dogs are welcome and there are loads of places to stop off and grab a snack and drinks.
