We've been to a lot of Chinatowns in the US and we like this one the best. It's about 15-20 minute drive, but so much good food and Asian restaurants. It's called Chinatown, but there are also a lot of Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese restaurants there as well.

East Downtown - up and coming area of Houston. Lots of neat wall murals in Graffiti Park. Can rent a bike or a scooter to check out the area. East Village has lots of fun bars (Truck Yard, 8th Wonder Brewery) and restaurants (we like Seaside Poke, Indianola). Nancy's Hustle is a award-winning restaurant in EaDo that will be sure not to disappoint.

Taco Bell Tacos are alright, but Mexican street tacos is life. This place serves our favorite street tacos in Houston (and we've tried a lot). Grab a few tacos, then grab a drink at West Alabama Ice House next door and pig out on their patio.

Consejos para la ciudad

Facilidad para moverse por la casa

Car is the best way to get around

We’re in Texas, so we drive a lot and public transport is not great. I recommend getting around with your own car, since there’s usually decent parking. Exceptions to decent parking would be downtown, so consider taking Uber there. The Metro Light rail is the only public transportation I use and it goes to many attractions in Houston. There is a Light rail station less than 10 minutes from the house. I would consider using it if you are planning on going to NRG Center/Stadium, the medical center (TMC), Houston Zoo, Hermann Park, Museum District, Downtown, Minute Maid, BBVA stadium
