The View Golf Resort Golf Course has frequently been called the most scenic and challenging nine-hole course in Newfoundland. It measures 2250 yards from the blue tees and 1920 yards from the red tees. Although it might seem short at first, the course design and strategically placed hazards makes it a challenging course for experienced golfers but not too intimidating for novice players. Because tee-times are booked further apart, golfers find their rounds to be much more relaxed as they are not being rushed along by the next group. The lounge is a great place to drop in after a day's work or a round of golf. Visit with a group, meet some new friends, or just sit back and enjoy the scenery from inside the lounge or from the outdoor patio. Challenge someone to a game of pool or darts, watch a sporting event on our big screen TV, or try your luck on our video lottery terminals. The bar is extensively stocked with a variety of import, domestic and local Newfoundland beer, wine, and spirits. Light meals, snacks, and bar foods are available in the lounge, but selection is limited in some seasons.

The Dock Restaurant is a restored 300 year old fishing premises. It is the last of the commercial buildings on the once bustling Trinity waterfront. For hundreds of years, the building was used to store locally made salt cod before it was shipped by schooner to Spain, Portugal and the West Indies. Today, there are still large amounts of seafood here - not for shipment overseas but for your dining pleasure. We specialize in seafood and traditional meals. Seafood delicacies include cod, snow crab, mussels, shrimp, scallops, salmon, lobster and our famous lightly battered fish and chips. There are also steaks, burgers, chicken, ribs and more. Drop-in and check out our line-up of entertainment and special events which we host throughout the summer, or dine with us before a show at Rising Tide Theatre ... we're just next door. The restaurant has seating for 60 patrons. We welcome bus tours and offer a special menu for our tour operators. Informal dining with friendly service. We welcome visitors and locals alike to feast your eyes and your palate at our waterfront dining room. Your experience will be delicious.

The harbour at Trinity was first used by fishing ships around the 16th century. The Portuguese explorer Gaspar Corte-Real named the location "Trinity" as he arrived on Trinity Sunday, 1501. This is a great place for souvenir shopping, taking in a play at the theater, wandering the streets or having a great lunch by the ocean at the Dock Marina. The Trinity Loop is an abandoned amusement park where you can go and explore. To learn more if you decide to go, please visit hidden newfoundland ca/trinity-train-loop (website)

John Cabot, a freelance Italian explorer, was contracted by England's Henry VII to find new lands, and a sea route to the Orient. John Cabot set sail from Bristol, England in his ship the Matthew in 1497. When Cabot first saw land he reputedly said "O Buon Vista" ("Oh, Happy Sight!") giving rise to the name of the town and nearby Cape Bonavista. Cape Bonavista will bring sites of the historic Light House, whales, puffins and beautiful wild flowers! Be sure to also visit the Dungeon Provincial Park sea caves on your way to or from the Light House. Also on your way in or out, stop at the Little Dairy King or many other restaurants and make sure to try the fries, dressing and gravy!

Mind The Roads

The roads are not smooth in all sections of Route 235 & 230 or any of the other roads for that matter so, be mindful while driving and anticipate that you will encounter pot holes and watch your speed.
