This is the best restaurant walking distance from the condo. Just walk across Abbott St., go up the stairs in the plaza, and it is on the right had side. Reservations recommended as it is a popular spot specializing in Belgium beers, mussels and much more. Great wine list too.

Granville Island is on the other side of False Creek. A bike ride or short car ride away. A great indoor market with all types of fresh food and food stalls. Shops and restaurants along the entire island.

When walking around the city you will see homeless people.
Don't worry, they are not dangerous. They are concentrated on and around Hastings St., close to Gastown. You will see them in other areas as well. My advice is to just avoid conversation.
