Some of my favourite eats in Calgary!
One of my favourite restaurants in town! In the heart of 17th Ave. The food and drinks are incredible. The ambiance and decor is fantastic. The fried coconut squid dish is an absolute must, it comes with grilled pineapple and pickled jalapeños. We never leave without getting the decadent Baked Hula cake (kona coffee, macadamia, dark chocolate).

One of my favourite pizza restaurants in Calgary! Very trendy and vibing restaurant. Right on 17th Ave. Grab a pizza and a glass of wine before you head down to the hockey game or a concert down at the Saddledome. Don't have time to wait? They offer take-out next door! The 4-Maggi pizza and Margarita pizza are their best-sellers. I highly recommend their kale Caesar salad. In the summer, try to nab a patio table to people watch.

Our favourite donairs in Calgary! We recommend asking for both sweet sauce and garlic sauce on your donair. Their chicken shawarma salad is so good!

Get there early in the morning - especially on weekends, to grab a bag of their famous cheese buns. They are MIND BLOWING! Buttery and oh so cheesy!

All the sandwiches are great especially the hot chicken, roasted turkey and Brie, rosemary beef dip. We always get their rosemary Parmesan fries.

The Ship & Anchor is "hipstery" and has a fun and eclectic crowd. Right in the heart of 17th Ave. Punk Rock Bingo is on Tuesdays at "The Ship" (what the locals lovingly call the pub). Bingo starts at 8:00 and you can play to win a variety of weird and awesome prizes. Please contact the pub to confirm dates and times, in the unlikely event that these details change.

Catch a beautiful sunset (or sunrise if you are an early bird) here! One of the most serene and beautiful places in Calgary. The whole loop is 16-18km if you are an avid cyclist or runner.

There is a great coffee shop inside the library! To get to the library, get off at City Hall Station (free transit zone if travelling from downtown).
