The museum is home to the boards and/or memorabilia of many famous surfers such as Donald and Guy Takayama, Bethany Hamilton, Kelly Slater, and Greg Noll. The Top Gun House is the home used in the popular movie Top Gun. It is the house in which Tom Cruise's and Kelly McGillis' characters hung out. The house has been preserved, due to the pleas on many locals, on a stretch of land along N Pacific Street here in Oceanside. A new hotel was recently built around it.

It is perfect for walking, cycling, skateboarding, skating, or running. You can definitely drive up the strand, but keep in mind it is ONE WAY - in the north direction.

It is perfect for walking, cycling, skateboarding, skating, or running. You can definitely drive up the strand, but keep in mind it is ONE WAY - in the north direction.
This is a hidden gem in Oceanside. The Oceanside Museum of Art gets various exhibits throughout the year and also has a giftshop. Pick up stationary, trinkets, and other artistic finds at this point of interest.
