The park covers 79 hectares of beautiful beach and forested uplands, and boasts a 128-site campground, boat launch and large day-use area. Swimming, fishing and bird-watching are popular activities, as is the self-guided nature walk to Margaret Falls.

Margaret Falls is an easily accessible waterfall located in Herald Provincial Park. To access the falls requires a short 20 minute (1.5 km) hike that is really more of a walk. It is very family-friendly as it can be enjoyed by almost anybody and is one of the few places where you could actually bring a wheelchair. The trail meanders through an incredibly scenic canyon that is occupied by a lush green old-growth rainforest. Visitors will stroll over lovely wooden bridges and look in awe as they witness the stunning geology of the canyon and its sheer cliffs that tower overhead.

Margaret Falls

It has a picnic area adjacent to one of the best beaches in the Shuswap. For swimmers, there is a large swim raft on site in the protected swimming area. There is also a short trail along the lake for an easy stroll.

It has a picnic area adjacent to one of the best beaches in the Shuswap. For swimmers, there is a large swim raft on site in the protected swimming area. They have fully restored, all original and project vehicles, many of which are also for Sale by Owner. You may even run into one of the Rust Bros, as this is a filming location for the TV series Rust Valley Restorers!

Salmon Arm Waterslides also has a gift shop and food concessions, serving hot and cold food, plus drinks. There is large picnic area and plenty of tables, chairs, and umbrellas for your enjoyment. Besides the waterpark fun the park also has an arcade and mini golf course.
