City/town information
Sutter Creek (a quaint gold rush town) is a great day trip for antiquing and lunch. They also have a wonderful farmer's market on Saturdays from 9-12. Buffalo Chips is a great stop for breakfast or lunch (Sutter Creek). Chaos Glass is also a really interesting glass blowing shop.

On a hot summer day, a rafting trip down the American River is an exciting way to cool down. You can start in Coloma, which has a few wonderful restaurants. Coloma is about 45 minutes from our house and a pretty drive. There are a number of guided white water rafting companies that start from there and then return you to the starting point via bus.

Taste is an amazing dining experience in our local Plymouth. Reservations a must.
The Amador Vintage Market (on Main Street) has excellent take-out for a picnic while wine-tasting.
Also worth checking out is our local farmer's market on Our local Plymouth farmer's market is on Thursdays from 4-7. Be sure to visit Garlic Dave, who has some unusual off-the-beaten-track veggies and fruits.
