For the best views in all of Cincinnati, go up to the open-air observation deck high atop the Carew Tower in the heart of the city. The 360-degree view from 49 stories up seems limitless on a clear day. Completed in 1930 and designated as a National Historic Landmark in the 1990s, visitors get the sense that they are standing atop a piece of the nation’s history as they view the beautiful city skyline and colorful bridges over the Ohio River.

The John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge is an icon in the Cincinnati region. It's the prototype to New York's Brooklyn Bridge and has been dubbed "the singing bridge" due to the way car tires hum when driving across the bridge. Pedestrian lanes make it a picturesque way to get from Cincinnati to Northern Kentucky (and vice versa) on foot.

Since its opening in 1933, Union Terminal has had a long and storied history, from welcoming soldiers home from World War II to becoming the home of three museums, an OMNIMAX® Theater and the Cincinnati History Library and Archives. After you pick your jaw up off the floor from admiring the largest half-dome in the western hemisphere, ask a member of guest services about the magical whispering fountains. Spend some time admiring the intricate details and stories of the Winold Reiss mosaics and visit Tower A, the original control tower of Union Terminal. Union Terminal completed a historic restoration in 2018.

Food Scene

It's hard to resist a scoop of creamy French-pot ice cream with huge chunks of chocolate chips. Black Raspberry Chip is a favorite at Graeter's, but don't miss the chance to try their seasonal flavors, too.
