The Nyugati (=West) railway station is a beautiful bulding, designed by Eiffel's company in the early 20th century. The Eiffel square next to it is great to have a drink or a coffee.

Margaret Island (Margitsziget) is the green heart of Budapest. It lies in the middle of the Danube between Margaret Bridge and Árpád Bridge. Apart from a couple of hotels and sport facilities, there are no buildings on the island - it is a huge green park with promenades and benches, great for a date or a picnic. Everyone can find their own cup of tea here: there is the Hajós Alfréd National Sports Swimming Pool, the Palatinus water park and the running track for the sporty, the petting zoo, the music fountain, and the Water Tower for families, and we'd recommend the Japanese Garden or a ride on a four-wheel bike for couples. If you're hungry for culture, check out the open-air stages and the medieval ruins of the island. http://welovebudapest.com/budapest.and.hungary/sights.1/margaret.island

Shopping

The building of Lehel Csarnok (Lehel Hall) was built in place of the one-time Lehel Square marketplace in the 13th District of Budapest. In addition to the abounding fresh fruits and vegetables, you can buy one of the best lángos' in Budapest and herbs as well. You'll find small producers selling everything from lemongrass through mint to honey variations in the lower mid-section of the hall. The upper storey is somewhat messier: you can find a wide variety of goods there from pet food to household accessories. http://welovebudapest.com/shops.and.services.1/groceries.and.markets.2/lehel.csarnok
