Vietnamese restaurant, small hole in the wall, cheap but the food is good. Good PHO of course, good sandwiches as well. This is not to take a date out, but we love it!

This is certainly the best chinese restaurant in the neighborhood. They have a variety of Northern China cuisine. It's also pretty cheap and of good quality. I recommend it.

I haven't been there yet, but it's been recommended several times by people I usually trust. Now I just need to go and tell you what I think about it!

Great restaurant. The food is very good. Get the spicy broth with your shabu selection. I recommend that you select your own meat instead of the menu, otherwise you will have too much food & pay more!

Pretty good Thai food. But not a great place to sit down, even though we have when we just need a quick Thai fix. A lot of people order to go though!

Great supermarket for Korean Foods fans, but also there's a restaurant there. The food is good, and it's cheap.

Organic, Fair Trade high end supermarket. Not for everyone's wallet, but the food is good! They have very good deli food too.

Well, that's safeway. They do have a limited organic food selection. It's about 10 min walk from our place.

Everything Else
Great to do your Jogging, a Bike ride, a BBQ or check out the view of San Francisco. And there are Tennis Courts, Golf Course, plenty of hiking/biking trails.

Chain movie theater. Comfortable. Typical prices for typical hollywood selection. It's not too far from us. Go there if you just need a "cheap" escape. :)

This is a great location for kids who need to play soccer! They also have baseball fields and a neat skateboard park (and we have skateboards at home you can borrow) with a teenage crowd sometimes.

There's a playground for smaller kids. Basketball and tennis court. They also have a baseball field there. It's very close to our house.

Great soccer fields. Great skateboard park. A nice swimming pool (schedule here: http://sfrecpark.org/destination/balboa-park/balboa-pool/). Very family oriented.

20 minutes away. One of my favorite beaches to visit. This is the pacific ocean so the water is cold, and the surf can be mild or rough! Not great for kids as there could be nudists there.

The post office. Avoid noon and end of day (4-5pm) otherwise the line is usually minimal.

Actually good for all your medication needs, cosmetics, sunscreen, and things like batteries. They also sell CLIPPER cards that you can use for all transportation needs in SF (highly recommended)

Drinks & Nightlife
It's almost still a secret. It's like a dive bar, but with a fun atmosphere, good food (actually!), and the drinks are relatively cheap. I recommend it, as opposed to the "cool" dive bars in Mission.
