Where the apothecary is the best place for a craft beer, Tin 202 is the best place for a craft cocktail. It’s a little fancy, but not too much. The food menu is small, but they have some nice small plates.

123 Pleasant St. is basically the only venue for bands in town. It’s where I used to go see local bands and punk rock shows while I was in college. On any given night there’s probably a band playing. Cover is usually $5 and the beer is pretty cheap.

Fresh juices and coffee bar. They have a fantastic bagel called the Avocado Smash and Billygoat Smash. A little pricy, but good food and wide variety of juices and juice shots.

YOU MUST GO HERE. It’s a Morgantown staple. A fusion burrito place that’s vegetarian and vegan friendly. Seriously. This place is worth going to. I recommend the Bear Trap and the chips and queso!

It’s ridiculous that a place like Morgantown has a legit Japanese restaurant. If you like Japanese food Yama is worth checking out. Good food, vegetarian friendly, and relatively inexpensive.

This particular restaurant is relatively new, but serves dishes from one of his most respected former restaurants. The Brazilian steak is $35, but it’s quite good. If you’re looking for a “fancy” restaurant, check it out.

Cooper’s Rock is a state forest with beautiful scenic overlooks. If the weather is nice, Cooper’s Rock offers a beautiful view onto the Cheat River below. There are also great spots for rock climbing if you’re into that sort of thing.
