Essentials

El Corte Inglés is the Spanish largest department store. I recomend the supermarket. You will find whatever you need. Also check its gourmet terrace on the top floor with amazing views of the Gran Via

If you can find a place at their terrace I really recomend eating here. The restaurant inside is not very nice. But the food is very good quality at a very good price ;)

The guide didn't give me the options to mark it here but what I recomend is their terrace, which is by the square in front of the bar, at Plaza de Ramales, ask them. Perfect for a sunny day

There are a restaurant and a "Sidreria" one in front of the other. I prefer the Sidrería. This place is a classic Although it is quite small and it gets packed. Typical food from Asturias, north Spain

The best "cocido madrileño" in Madrid. It is a classic since the end of XIX Century. You will have for sure to book. Remember, the "cocido" is better for lunch, not for dinner ;)

La Mallorquina is about as close to a breakfast institution as it gets in Madrid. There is such a wide selection of delicious pastries, it would take a month to try everything. Inexpensive
