The Chapter House

The Chapter House is a spacious and quirky Grade II listed cottage nestled in the heart of Whitby. This central location is ideal for families and friends to use as a base to explore all that Whitby has to offer. The house started life in 1891 as a church Vestry and retains much of its original character. Please note, the church which it was part of is now a cafe and music venue. Crumbleclive Cabin

Crumbleclive is a beautifully restored 100 year old cabin set within the dramatic backdrop of Crunkly Ghyll. It was originally the ‘Gun Room’ for the local estate in the 1890s! The Cabin has a balcony overlooking the gorge with the River Esk rapids visible at the bottom. Surrounded by Oak trees you will feel amongst the treetops as birds gather on the branches around you and fly through the gorge below. It is perfect for couples wanting a romantic getaway to recharge the batteries!

Elstree Escape (private annexe, inc parking)

Elstree is a self-contained annexe to our house with allocated parking off-road and basic kitchen facilities — suitable for a short break but not for hosting dinner parties! We welcome pets and kids (although we don’t provide specialist things for infants and teenagers might find it a squash!). It is 10 min leisurely walk to the town centre and beautiful Scarborough South Bay beach, all theatres and seaside essentials. A home from home cosy space for peace, quiet and rest.

Relax and unwind in the newly refurbished one bed Irishman's Cottage. The cottage retains many old features and is surrounded by the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Wolds. A short walk away is our private lake, where you might catch site of a resting deer or hare!

From the front you can see down to Whitby Abbey and harbour, from the side there’s a lovely view of All Saints church and from the rear there are uninterrupted views of the Yorkshire countryside.

This cottage, in the village of Wrelton near Pickering, was a 19th century blacksmith's forge and has now been renovated into a delightful living space complete with fully-equipped kitchen, large living room area, bathroom with walk-in shower and a cosy bedroom located on a mezzanine floor which is reached via a spiral staircase. The Old Forge offers a great location for a relaxing stay in beautiful North Yorkshire.
