Oak Framed Home with Countryside Views & Hot Tub

Get back in touch with nature at this luxury cabin nestled in a quiet hamlet. Find tranquility on the terrace surrounded by breathtaking views, or lounge amid thoughtful decor and chic modern finishes in the exposed oak beam interior. Blue Vale is brand new as of June 2018! We helped to design this green oak framed building and have been involved in the whole process of building it, doing much of it ourselves. For our colour scheme we have used different shades of blue throughout, playing on the name of Blue Vale. The furnishing and finishing touches are of a high standard to help promote a comfortable and luxurious finish. There is an eclectic style combining modern country with industrial finishes. Luxury, high thread cotton bedding and towels, large flat screen smart tv's and luxury Neals Yard toiletries help to give the top-end finishing touches we would appreciate if we stayed away from home. Blue Vale is completely self contained but sits in the grounds of our family home. The decked outdoor living space is screened by trellis on the garden side with fields on the other. You would be very welcome to walk around our garden. We can be as interactive as you wish. With living in the same grounds we are close at hand if needed. We will welcome you when you arrive but will be respectful of your privacy. The glorious Blackmore Vale landscape is a tapestry of farmed green fields with a sprinkling of English villages, of which Sandley is one. Walk out (or cycle, using our available bikes) onto country lanes and venture along a web of footpaths to discover this unspoilt part of Dorset. Visit Stourhead, stroll around the ancient towns of Sherborne or Shaftesbury or discover the beautiful Jurassic coast. Visit Longleat safari park, Haynes Motor Museum, Monkey world & Yeovilton Air Museum. Sandley is a quiet hamlet with the neighbouring village of Buckhorn Weston just a mile away. The Stapleton Arms pub can be found here. We are 10 minutes away from the towns of Gillingham and Wincanton where various supermarkets, shops and services are. There is a train station in Gillingham which has a direct route to London in less than 2 hours. The larger cities of Bath and Salisbury are less than an hours drive and it takes around an hour to drive to the beautiful Jurassic coastline. The historic towns of Shaftesbury and Sherborne are only 15 and 20 minutes away respectively. The quiet rural roads and bridleways of the Blackmore Vale are excellent for cycling and walking. Blue Vale is in the grounds of our family home. There is a one- bedroomed B&B facility on the ground floor of our home.

Situated on Ilfracombes oldest and most historic Street, the property is doors away from Thomas Carr’s Michelin star restaurant and a short walk from Tunnels beaches.Take a stroll to the harbour and enjoy one of the many watering holes and eateries Walking around Ilfracombe is the easiest way to get around ....with a few hills! Regular buses will take you to the beaches of Woolacombe and Croyde . Parking can be found just down the road and is readily available throughout the town. We will give you a permit if you are here for the week. The apartment occupies ground and lower ground floor; access via the front door to the bedroom floor of the apartment with a staircase to lower floor to the large open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen. There is a spacious terrace with table and chairs for al-fresco drinks and dining.

Wander out to a split-level garden for a spot of sunshine. There are plenty of spaces to relax inside and out, with patios to the side and rear, a back garden and the handcrafted bat palace to sit in whatever the weather or evening time with a fire. The Potting Shed and studio building in our garden on the edge of the National Park in the unique town of Ashburton. The Potting Shed overlooks Place woods and is a secluded eco space designed and built by us with thermostatically controlled underfloor heating, powered by an air source heat pump and Morso wood burning stove. In the summer, open both bifold doors to experience birdsong and take in the beautiful green canvas of trees ahead of you. We have created a light, homely space with design classics and luxury bed to rest after a day walking on the moor or at the beach. There are plenty of spaces to relax inside and out, with patio spaces to the side and rear of the property, a back garden and behind the handcrafted bat palace. Pick your time and your spot to hang out and enjoy the BBQ /firepit. There is plenty of parking on the lane however there is a dedicated parking space for guest at the property. We are close to a local school which also runs a sports centre (Ashmoor Centre), where guests can book tennis courts, attend exercise classes and a gym after 3.30pm in term times and all day at the weekends and during school holidays. There may be some ambient noise in the distance from the school during term time.

Perfectly located to explore the Jurassic Coastline and visit the bustling market towns of Bridport and Lyme Regis. At Laverstock we have a games room available for guests with table tennis, table football, air hockey and a pool table. This is a communal facility, perfect for those rainy days!

We have chickens, ducks, Sheep and pigs on the farm. 5 mins drive from J28 of the M5. 20mins from Exeter centre. Not near any good beaches so don't choose us for a beach holiday.
