The Garden House

Our get-a-way is an oasis on a beautiful island, at the end of the road. We are very close to Fillongly Park with its beaches, views of nearby Hornby Island, and old growth trails along the creek. Our garden house is tucked behind the main house. It's surrounded by abundant landscape, woodland, a seasonal stream, and our horse pasture. The house and it's surroundings are private and peaceful. You may see the horses, a peacock, tree frogs and deer, but you won't see any traffic or crowds.

This snug, hand-built cottage features large windows and a deck looking toward Hague Lake and the rocky scapes of Turtle Island. It’s tucked away in a small grove of towering Cedar and Fir trees, but in the heart of uptown Mansons Landing with stores and a bakery cafe just steps away. Fully self-contained 2 bedroom Sea Cottage. Direct beach access surrounded by forest. Quiet, remote and elegant. Pet friendly There is a $10 fee PER DAY for your pet ~ Airbnb will collects only for the first 2 days. Home-baked treats upon arrival. Whales frequently seen from our beach which is a rock hounds paradise No parties. Dunroven is adult oriented ~ no children under the age of 10. Check in time is 3 p.m. Check out time is 10 a.m. Stay a week and the 7th night is free.

Whaletown Lagoon Floathouse

Our " floathouse" has everything a guest could want, privacy and a beautiful waterfront location on the Whaletown Lagoon. There is a shared family dock for launching your kayaks, swimming, or just relaxing and watching the changing of the tides. Its vintage ambience combines much of its original historical nature and water travels with modern updates. A former bunk house for hand logging camps and part of our floating household, its traveling days are now over.

The walk-on beach is lovely, the view is breathtaking, from summer heat to winter storms, it is peaceful, serene and some days the sound of the surf, eagles and herons are all you hear. There are many excursions close by including mountain biking, skiing, fishing, boating and hiking. The Valley is nature personified and Kye Bay is a jewel - the breath of sea air in the morning is worth the visit for sure!
