The Old Wash House at Syke End

Dating back to the 1600s with lots of original features including an exposed stone fireplace and wooden beams, this charming cottage is located in the historic market town of Broughton-in-Furness and is only a short walk to the Georgian square, pubs, bakery and all other local amenities.

The hut has no electricity but has solar lights, and a separate composting toilet, all bed linen is provide along with wood for the stove. A breakfast hamper will be delivered to your door in the morning

Relax and enjoyed our cabin, it’s deck and hot tub or sit in the orchard and watch our hens. During winter when our smallholding settles down awaiting spring it’s a great base to explore the area. You will be the only guests and have the ten peaceful acres to yourself. You may bring One dog for a small fee.
