A short 15 minute drive away from Holt you will find the incredible, natural, and very beautiful, Blakeney Point. Created by longshore drift across the River Glaven , Blakeney point is a 4-mile spit of flint-derived shingle and sand dunes. Blakeney is perhaps most famous as a viewing place to see the seals, regular boat tours are available and leave from Morston Quay daily.

Blakeney Point in North Norfolk has one of the largest colonies of grey seals in England. Pup survival rates are currently at a record high with 2,400-plus born last season and another bumper season predicted this year. Hour-long seal-watching boat trips, which take you thrillingly close to the seals, depart from Morston Quay.

This is where you go to see the seals. Lovely little seaside village with some decent pubs and restaurants. Visit if you have the time
