In the Santos area, which traditionally attracts a younger crowd, the atmosphere is more homogeneou and rowdy, and is not recommended for anyone over the age of 25 unless they are hoping to relive the madness of university nights long since passed. During the day, Bairro Alto is home to various alternative shops, from records to art and hairdressers; Cais do Sodré has countless restaurants for a recharge and Santos, Lisbon’s design district, is full of studios and unique shops selling fantastic and irresistible objects. Take a different perspective of Lisbon home with you.

Catch trains to the beaches of Carcavelos, Estoril or Cascais. Cascais is a small seaside town worth spending half day. (Short walk from flat)

Lively atmosphere, especially in weekends and at St. Anthony celebration. Less touristic, plenty of bars, terraces and restaurants, excellent for a night out.

5-minute walk. To go to the beach in Cascais, visiting monuments to Bélem, go to the center of Lisbon Cais do Sodre

Santos, Avenida 24 de Julho and the Docks were formerly Lisbon’s port area, where there used to be old, derelict warehouses, but it went through glorious times in the 1990s, featuring at the city top.
