A fantastic bike trail through the heart of town. Culminates in Venice, 18 miles away, but on a smaller scale is a lovely way to get across town on a bike without fighting traffic.

Rent some bikes from a local bike shop and go for a ride through an alluring trek back to Old Florida. The trail occupies the tracks that were laid to serve the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus.

Take a bike ride or great for runners. This historic railway turned pedestrian trail was famous for transporting Ringling Brothers circus when on tour. You can even visit the Historic train station that has two old cars with photos and memorabilia from the circus days.

Legacy Trail is a paved trail that runs from Sarasota south to Venice. Opened in 2008 along a historic rail corridor, the 10.8 mile long trail is considered to be one of the best biking trails in Florida.
