Located on Rua Formosa is our famous Mercado do Bolhão. In this market, built in 1914, and renovated in 2022, you will find the atmosphere of a small village market. You will be able to buy all kinds of fresh food and even eat in a small restaurant.

You can't visit Porto without visiting Bolhão. This market is where farmers and people from here come to sell their fruit and vegetables. Unfortunately, it's closed for renovations. But you can visit the temporary one at La Vie.

Built in 1914 to receive the Porto traders hitherto scattered in various locations in the city, the Bolhão Market remains an important place to visit. You will find florists and many fresh products like fish, meat, fruits and vegetables. Information: until 2020 it will not be possible to visit this market which is closed for requalification works.
