A very popular hike about 20 minutes away in Egmont. Flat and easy. Time your hike to arrive at high tide and you may be rewarded with watching kayakers ride the world Famous Skookumchuck rapids. This hike can be busier than most due to the popularity of seeing the rapids, but we’ll worth it and there’s lots of room on the trail. Grab a coffee at the cute little shop near the trail head when you’re done!

Best "easy" hike on the Coast. Drive an hour north to Egmont and hike the 4km well maintained path to the Skoocumchuk rapids. Time your visit to ensure you are there at peak flow to see the whirlpool! Grab some fresh bakeries at the Skookumchuck Bakery & Cafe (on the trail head below parking lot) and make sure to stop in at the Backeddy Pub for refreshments before driving home!

Epic natural wonder, beautiful forest hike. The well-maintained trail is a wide gravel path that is mostly flat and accessible.

This one is hard to get to but there are some really funky ocean rapids that world class paddle boarders will surf. Besides that, this park's name rocks!
