The tavern’s white tablecloths and long, sexy bar attracts more of a 30-and-older crowd and is not strictly for vegetarians. You’ll see after-work dinners and old friends catching up. Try the vegetarian dishes off the tasting menu paired with wine for nice combos like carrot and citrus salad with a riesling, or the mushroom chawanmushi with a marsanne. My vegetarian entree of choice—Brussels sprouts fried rice, poached farm egg, and sunchokes. And yes, that’s all one dish!

Best restaurant in NYC. True farm-to-table. Chef goes to get local ingredients every morning with a wheelbarrow. I have many food sensitivities so they catered items on and OFF the menu to accommodate. Servers are top-notch as well. Book well in advance for restaurant section. There is a bar section but with a different menu/limited food items.
